Technology in the Classroom

Technology used today in the classroom has improved and simplified the work load. It impacts students because the technological tools aid them in the learning process and get them more involved with the material being presented. Technology greatly impacts teachers because it allows them to make lessons quickly and more efficiently. Some technological tools that I have used before include computers, online discussions, blackboard, blogs, online textbooks, and PowerPoint. Technology saves me a lot of time when working on class work. It also helps me grasp a better understanding of the material being taught. Online discussions are very helpful because you can collaborate with your peers about certain aspects of the class material. PowerPoint, used by most professors, is an efficient learning program. Teachers can create their lesson throughout the PowerPoint, and the students get the advantage of visually seeing the information being discussed. Overall, technology has aided my academic success.

The Beach- my Ultimate Carefree Getaway

Hello! My name is Kelsey Robinson. I am a sophomore majoring in business. Carroll County, a small country town, is where I grew up. My favorite place to get away is the beach. The sand, the crashing waves, and the sunlight seem to make all my worries in the world disappear. Jet skiing and parasailing over the ocean are my two favorite activities. I'm excited for Info 211, and I hope to gain further knowledge of the processes and technologies involved in the information systems.
